DISCLAIMER
==========
I take no responsibility for any damage this program may cause, It
is only guarenteed to take up disk space. There are no warranties of any
type, Use this software at your own risk.
What It Does
============
I wrote WHATBAUD for a few reasons, one being that i spend a fair
amount of money on my 14.4k USR modem, and wanted to see just how many other
users were taking advantage of this. I also had been curious as to just who
calls at what baud rates these days, So i decided to write a small utility
to create the ANSi/ASCII bulletin files complete w/bar graph displaying the
percentage of users that call at specific baud rates (300,1200,2400,4800,
9600,14400,19200). This goes strictly by the information the users gave at
logon, so it is not guarenteed 100% accurate, however it still is better
than nothing.
How To Use It
=============
WHATBAUD is really quite simple to set up. An enclosed file called
WHATBAUD.CFG explains completely how to set it up, you simply fill in
the spaces where there is not a ";" at the beginning of the line.
To execute, simply place WHATBAUD.EXE and WHATBAUD.CFG in your
main bbs directory (or any other one for that matter), and type "WHATBAUD".
I would suggest running it as a nightly event.
Registration
============
WHATBAUD has no real registration fee, however if you do use it and
like it, a $5 donation would be greatly appreceated. If you are interested,
please send the money to:
